WHAT I DO?
WHY I DO IT?
WHAT LED ME TO DO IT?
Trained architect, experienced scenographer and passionate artist, I conceptualize, design, build and illustrate CG environments for the cultural and creative industries to deliver fictional spaces that project audiences into fascinating sensitive experiences.
Art Direction, Architectural & Environment Design, 3D Environment Art for video games & cinematography.
To offer memorable sensitive experiences into fictional architectures.
Architect, I have now decided to no longer design built spaces.
In our reality, constructions must meet regulatory standards, programs, uses ... What really attract me is not the characteristics that a building or a landscape have, but the emotions and sensations they make us experience, the feeling and the perception that we have of them.
That is why, after seven years of architectural studies and projects, I have been putting my know-how at the service of the construction of fictional environments that we travels the time of a film, an advertisement, a video games, an exhibition...
The question then is how to offer everyone the possibility of exploring these spaces that remains unbuilt.
Today, I devote my work to this question. I do my best to answer it by conceptualizing, designing, building and illustrating computer-generated spaces, territories with endless possibilities where we are confronted with new sensitive experiences.
To discover them, you have to project yourself.
WHAT DO I BELIEVE?
I am convinced that a fictional space must allow the public to project themselves into and each meaning of this word is for me a guideline:
TO
PROJECT
MEANING 1. "Throw something, someone forcefully towards a place"
I believe in powerful environments, loaded with reliefs and accidents, textures, noises, smells, dirt, heat, cold, lights, dust, clouds ... because "Projecting" requires strength.
MEANING 2. "Ascribing to someone a feeling that you have yourself"
These reliefs, these accidents are elements in which everyone can identify: the evocation of a memory, a real life situation, a usual light, a smell from childhood, a feeling experienced ... "Projecting" is sharing a feeling, a sensation.
MEANING 3. "Throw, lead forward."
Literally, "Projecting" means throwing: it means working with passion and enthusiasm to make people react, to be force of proposals to exceed my client's expectations and offer them inventive solutions.
MEANING 4. "Draw, appear on a plane, on a surface, any body according to certain geometric rules"
"Projecting" is also drawing space: perspective, plan, section are geometric projections. For me, it is using the architect's tools and approach, always seeking to transcend constraints and place the user at the heart of the design.
